Saptasree Bose
Postdoctoral Fellow, UNH

Dr. Saptasree Bose earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemistry, followed by a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Jadavpur University, India. Her research expertise includes the design and synthesis of advanced porous materials, metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), functional polymers, and nanofibers for environmental and energy applications. Her current research focuses on understanding molecular interactions and developing materials for PFAS removal from water. She has published over 30 peer-reviewed research articles and is passionate about interdisciplinary research and sustainable materials development.

Graduate Students

Patrick Strobel

Year 5

Pat holds a BS in chemsitry (2017) and MAT in curriculum and instruction (2019) from UVM. His research focuses on leveraging self-assembly for the development of novel materials. Outside of lab, he likes to read, bike, and climb.

Elise Hanley-Haid

Year 3

El has a BS in chemistry from the University of Southern Maine (2023). Her research focuses on hard and soft cyclodextrin-based materials for environmental remediation. In El's free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and playing with her cat Blaze. 🐈

Anthony Traficante

Year 3

Anthony obtained his BS in chemsitry (2024) from UNH. His research is centered around dextran-based hydrogels for 2D cell culture and how crosslinker architecture impacts mechanical properties and cell adhesion. Outside of research, he enjoys playing basketball and golf.

Tristan O'Harte

Year 3

Tristan has a B.S. in Biomedical Science: Medical Microbiology from UNH (2019). His research has three main areas of interest: computational chemistry, focusing on molecular dynamics of host-guest interactions, crystal structure determination, and nanoscale 3D printing of electrode architectures for improved electrocatalytic performance. In his free time, Tristan enjoys axe throwing, rock climbing, and baking bread

Quinn Henoch

Year 2

Quinn has his BSc in Biochemistry and a BSc in Zoology from Miami University (of Ohio). His research focuses on 3D printing scaffolds for tissue engineering and the development of photoswitching molecules for localized stiffening of printed structures. Outside of science, Quinn enjoys rock climbing, playing volleyball, playing video games, and hanging out with his cat, Pipsqueak.

After graduation, Eddie is looking to pursue a PhD in chemsitry with a focus on orangic/pharmaceutical synthesis. Outside of the lab, Eddie enjoys chess, rock climbing, and skateboarding.

Connor is looking to graduate with a B.S. in chemsitry from UNH. He hopes to apply his chemical knowledge in manufacturing R&D and/or analytical and quality analysis in a lab setting.
